Learn. Understand. Invest with confidence.

Artha Suraksha Foundation is the investor education and awareness initiative by Seth Capital.
Its purpose is simple: to help individuals understand money better, ask the right questions, and make informed financial decisions.

Because informed investors are confident investors.

Many people avoid investing not because they lack money,
but because they lack clarity.

There is too much noise. Artha Suraksha Foundation exists to replace confusion with understanding.

Official Verification & Reporting Tools

If you suspect fraud, fake calls, suspicious UPI requests, unknown SIM cards, or malicious payment links, use these official tools and verification steps to protect yourself quickly.

🚨 First Priority: If Money Is Already Deducted

Call 1930 immediately and report the incident on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal .

The first 1–2 hours are often called the “Golden Hour” — acting quickly can help freeze the money before it is moved further.

Telecom & Mobile Verification

Many frauds begin with fake calls, SMS, WhatsApp messages, or SIM cards issued in your name without your knowledge.

TAFCOP

Purpose: Check how many mobile numbers are active in your name.

Use it when: You suspect someone has taken a SIM using your Aadhaar/ID.

Chakshu

CEIR

Banking & Financial Safety

Sachet Portal

Use it when: Someone promises high returns, chit funds, or “guaranteed” money doubling schemes.

RBI Ombudsman (CMS)

Purpose: Escalate unresolved complaints against banks and regulated institutions.

Use it when: Your bank fails to resolve your fraud complaint within 30 days.

Important RBI Rule

If you report an unauthorized electronic transaction within 3 days, your liability may be Zero, subject to RBI rules.

Investment & Stock Market Safety

Use these tools if you are targeted by fake stock tips, Telegram “investment advisors”, or suspicious trading schemes.

SCORES 2.0

Purpose: Lodge complaints against listed companies or registered intermediaries.

Use it when: A broker, platform, or financial intermediary misleads or mistreats you.

SEBI Registered Intermediary Check

Purpose: Verify whether an “advisor” or “market expert” is actually SEBI registered.

Use it when: Someone on Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, or YouTube asks you to invest or transfer money.

Device Hygiene & Malware Safety

Your phone and laptop are often the gateway to your bank account, OTPs, UPI apps, and financial data.

Cyber Swachhta Kendra

UPI, QR Code & Payment Link Verification Guide

Follow these practical checks before paying anyone online.

1. The Golden Rule of UPI

UPI PIN is only used to SEND money — never to receive it.

If someone says:

  • “Scan this QR to receive refund”
  • “Enter PIN to get prize money”
  • “Approve collect request to receive cashback”

It is most likely a scam.

2. How to Verify a UPI ID

  • Use Name Fetch: Enter the UPI ID and check the banking name shown by the app.
  • Check for mismatch: If the name shown does not match the person/business you are dealing with, stop.
  • Look at the format: Suspicious handles and fake support IDs are red flags.
  • Do a ₹1 test first: For large amounts, send a small test amount before paying fully.

3. How to Verify a QR Code

  • Check for sticker tampering: Fraudsters often paste fake QR stickers over original merchant codes.
  • Use scanner preview: Scan with your phone camera first and inspect what opens.
  • Avoid shortened links: Be cautious if the QR opens bit.ly, tinyurl, or APK downloads.
  • Verify merchant identity: If a shop QR shows a random personal name, ask before paying.

4. How to Verify a Payment Link

  • Read the domain carefully: Fake domains often imitate banks or government portals.
  • Prefer official endings: Government websites usually end in .gov.in or .nic.in.
  • Check for HTTPS: A secure lock is helpful, but not enough by itself.
  • For investment links: Always verify the entity through SEBI Investor Portal before sending money.
Important Reminder

No genuine bank, UPI provider, regulator, or investment platform will ask you to share your OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV, or screen-sharing access. If anyone asks for these, stop immediately and verify independently.
